It's 2am. It's 35°.
You're walking home in a tank top with just a purse,
because you knew better than to bring a jacket.
Sound familiar?
The JAQ converts in seconds. The jacket folds backwards twice and zips along the side, tucking your pockets inside to become the purse, so nothing falls out when you unzip it. Undo those same motions and it's a jacket again. Follow us at @wearjaq to watch it in action and learn more about the design.

A look inside the JAQ
3 zip pockets inside. They're your purse pockets when it's a bag, your jacket pockets when it's a jacket. Nothing moves, nothing falls as long as it's zipped.
"I watched hundreds of girls walk home freezing every weekend. It wasn't careless. It was a choice they'd been conditioned to make. Nobody wanted to lose their jacket, so they just stopped bringing one."

Going into my junior year at Penn State, I'd spent two years going out and working at a bar, watching the same thing happen every single weekend. Girls arrive with jackets. Girls leave without them. Or they just stop bringing one at all and freeze the whole walk home instead.
I couldn't stop thinking about it. So I started working on JAQ, fashionable enough that you'll actually want to wear it out, and built so it can be your purse inside and your jacket on the way there and home.
